Windows 10 X delayed release, can Microsoft learn to be good this time?

According to Windows Central, the Windows 10 X operating system and third-party OEM devices are no longer expected to be available this year.

According to the original plan, Windows 10 X released last year was supposed to be available to consumers at the end of this year. But since the first extension was announced in January this year, Microsoft announced another extension a few days ago.

It is reported that single-screen Windows X for enterprise and education will not be available until spring 2021, and the version with dual-screen support may even be available until 2022.

What is Windows 10 X and what is its significance?

Sitting in front of your computer and using Windows 10, you may be a little unfamiliar with Windows 10 X. What is Microsoft up to?

This had to start from last year. According to the usual practice, during the National Day last year, Microsoft held its own autumn conference. In addition to updating the Surface family bucket and related accessories, it also came up with two new products, Surface Neo and Surface Duo.

The two new products are the main dual-screen concept, but the Surface Duo uses the Android system, like a product between a mobile phone and a tablet, while the Surface Neo is a dual-screen laptop, using Microsoft's newly created Windows 10 X system.

Interestingly, the name Windows 10X also seems to have a certain pun flavor. Needless to say, 10, and "X" in Roman numerals also represents 10, which means that Windows 10X is essentially two "10s", which is in line with its concept of being born for dual screens. I don't know what layer Microsoft was on when it was named, but I think I'm on the fifth layer anyway.

  • I believe that Microsoft will learn from past experience and learn to improve the development and release process of their system. They have a large R & D team and abundant resources, and can solve the problems existing in the system through in-depth research and reflection. Microsoft has been constantly striving to improve the quality of its products and user satisfaction
